I’m Annan Jazz Von, born in Auckland, New Zealand, on October 1, 1997. I’ve finished school and have written over two hundred poems. I’ve went into cyfs care since I was thirteen and moved from place to place. Because of that, I’ve learnt to turn all the negatives into something positive and it inspired me to write negatives to positives thoughout my journey in cyfs care. I’m back at home with my family now, and I’m happy to share my story of passages to others in need though my poetries hidden with all the memories I’ve made with all the important ones around me. Thank you.
Not that I’m trying to be’ A-Know it all
But I really believe’ in the stuff’ I think’
I’m just trying to be’ real to myself
And am not afraid to share’ it out
You gotta trust’ your own
To be’ able to trust’ anyone
But with yourselves then
You won’t needa to believe’ in any others
But your own only
Is the only one
Your own is the one to be count’ on
You want’ something Done!
Do’ it on your own
Trust’ yourselves Nobody else Safe!
They’re not Help!
Can’t be’ trust’ They Dangerous
Can just anytime go turn’ back on you
Stab’ your back Push’ you down the cliff’
Walk’ out on you Leave’ you Lead’ you in Despair Hatred’ only build’ up more
Don’t let’ anyone in to tear’ You Down!
